The purpose of this CAPE presentation is to explain the process of qualitative research methods, using the examples of phenomenology and grounded theory, compare and contrast it to more popular quantitative research methods, and explore the qualitative research approach as a future research study option.

Objectives:

  1. Explain the process of qualitative research methods, using the examples of phenomenology and grounded theory
  2. Compare and contrast qualitative research methods to quantitative research methods.
  3. Explore the qualitative research approach as a future research study option.
